Step into the romance of Meingold and Micah’s wedding in Columbus, Ohio, where every detail of their floral design told a unique and personal story. Meingold envisioned a stunning burgundy palette with a love for gradient designs, inspiring a gradual transition of hues in the ground arches — from soft whites and light blush to warm corals, rich reds, and deep burgundies. Blooming in their full glory, various varieties of peonies naturally became the focal flowers of the floral arrangements, complementing by locally grown blooms in season, including anemones, ranunculus, butterfly ranunculus, and foxgloves.
To add a personal touch, we used foliage and blooms from the groom’s family backyard, including Japanese maple leaves, symbolizing the family’s Japanese heritage. Traveling from London, Ontario, to Columbus, I was thrilled to create wedding floral arrangements using the most beautiful local blooms sourced from local flower farms in both Canada and the United States, which is especially meaningful as it reflects the bride’s time residing in Canada during their wedding and the groom’s American background.
The garden-inspired ground arches were not only the backdrop of their ceremony and head table but were also repurposed for a charming photoshoot in the groom's backyard, blending seamlessly with the lush summer greenery and creating a natural, romantic setting.
